Clean up day

April 28th we had over 30 members help with the cleanup of the club. The rifle range general cleanup, new mail boxes and range safety sign. Fence area cleaned up, new target bases for the 200 yard, new targets made. The large project started with tree removal for the maintenance gate access for future rifle range entrance. Pistol bays rebuild targets and cleanup. Trap and skeet fields cleaned up with houses being cleaned out and the trap houses getting some needed wall strengthening and new doors. Club house major cleaning and floor resealing along with the walls and mounts cleaned. Archery range cleaned up and all the furniture brought back in for lunch.

Our Wed League finished up on 3/28/2012 First place went to Jim Burdic and Mike Parish for the 2nd year in a row. 2nd place finishers were Jon Jaquin and Jamie Monroe. 3rd place went to Steve Macewen & Gary Flynn. High average shooter was Eric Broekhuizen and the most improved shooter was Tom Mills. We had three new 300 shooters this year–Jon Jaquin, Jamie Monroe and Mike Parish. Congrats to all the award winners.

Archery

On the morning of 12/31/2011 we repacked the archery bales on the indoor range. The indoor leagues will begin on Wed-Jan 4th and Tue-Jan 10th. Thanks to a nice turnout we got the bales done with the help of Scott Loughrey, Roger Brown, Jim Green, Steve Macewen, Bill Bigelow, John Pavel and Klaus Chjamberlain. Thanks to everyone for their help.

Pheasant Program:
240 birds picked up and released.
Youth Hunt had 9 hunters and there were 6 birds harvested. Two bird dogs handled by Lester Smart and Mike O’Bey. Thanks to everyone for their help. A good time was had by all.
The last birds were released Oct. 13. The netting was rolled back in less than 2 hours.
